Get to know Internist Dr. Kishwar I. Shareef, who serves patients in Randolph, New Jersey.

An award-winning doctor, Dr. Shareef leads a comprehensive primary care practice specializing in internal and metabolic medicine in Randolph, New Jersey. Passionately focusing on the health and well-being of patients young and old, she treats prevalent health conditions like diabetes, hypertension, and thyroid problems. 

Known for her excellent bedside manner, compassion, skill, and knowledge, Dr. Shareef takes a proactive, evidence-based approach to health. She encourages her patients to live a healthy lifestyle while emphasizing preventive care to catch and treat illnesses before they become more serious. 

With over two decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. She also holds certification from the National Board of Physician Nutrition Specialists.

Back in 1991, Dr. Shareef earned her medical degree from Dow Medical College in Karachi, Pakistan. Upon relocating to the United States, she went on to complete her residency in internal medicine at Newark Beth Israel Medical Center in New Jersey.

To date, she remains affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers, including Community Medical Center, Morristown Medical Center, Saint Barnabas Medical Center, Saint Clare’s Hospital, and Atlantic Medical Group.

Throughout her fruitful career, Dr. Shareef has won numerous distinctions. She was named a USA Top Doc and one of America’s Top Physicians and was honored with the Commitment to High Quality Award by Horizon Blue Cross and Blue Shield of New Jersey in 2008. The American Medical Association recognized her achievements in 2009 and she was awarded a Certificate of Excellence from the CARE program in 2016.

Furthermore, she is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2011, 2016, 2020), On-Time Doctor Award (2016, 2018, 2020), and Patients’ Choice Award (2020).
