Get to know Plastic Surgeon Dr. Thomas Patrick Trevisani, who serves patients in Orlando, Florida.

A member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, he is a past member of the Orange County Medical Society, the Florida Medical Association, and the American Board of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. He was previously on the Board of Directors for the Orlando Chapter of the American Cancer Society. 

Born and raised in New York, Dr. Trevisani was awarded a football scholarship to Midland College in Nebraska and went on to graduate from the University of Nebraska College of Medicine in 1975. After interning at the Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Oakland, California, he completed general surgery training at Jackson Memorial Hospital. He then completed his plastic surgery training at the Medical College of Wisconsin in Milwaukee.

Having always been attracted to the study of anatomy, the doctor is board-certified in plastic surgery by the American Board of Plastic Surgery (ABPS). The mission of the ABPS is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Among his many accomplishments in his 30+ year career, Dr. Trevisani created and performed multitudinous complex surgical procedures. A board member for the Families and Children of Florida, he is the author or co-author of numerous written works related to his field. A frequent presenter, he also posts weekly blogs about plastic and aesthetic surgery.

Plastic surgery is a surgical specialty involving the restoration, reconstruction, or alteration of the human body. It can be divided into two main categories – reconstructive surgery and cosmetic surgery. A plastic surgeon’s primary responsibility is performing surgical and non-surgical procedures, and they use a variety of reparative and reconstructive techniques to get the job done.

In response to his lectures and publications, Dr. Trevisani has been the recipient of the Physician’s Recognition Award for Continuing Medical Education by the American Medical Association. In addition, he has been voted Best Plastic Surgeon, featured as a Top Physician in Orlando Family Magazine (2019), as well as named Orlando Sentinel “Best Bets” Winner (2015-2019), Realself 100 TOP Doctors (2012-2019), and Realself TOP Doctor.

Attributing his success to God, Dr. Trevisani believes that his innate intelligence and his whole traditional Italian-American background has contributed to the development of his character and conscience. Moving forward, he hopes to continue to do what he is doing, and to inspire others to pursue their dreams and be the best that they can be.
