A passion for biology and a love of interacting with people from all walks of life led Dr. Mitrani into medicine. Today, as a board-certified otolaryngologist, he enjoys working with both children and adults to treat a wide variety of diseases at his private practice in Aventura, Florida.
Committed to providing patients with a superior level of care in a friendly and personalized environment, Dr. Mitrani is focused on maintaining trust and confidence, as well as establishing long-term relationships with every patient he meets. “I hold myself to an extremely high level of excellence in every aspect of my practice. This includes the care I provide, the equipment that I use, the health and safety protocols that I follow, and the incidental services that I offer. Above all, my aim is to provide each of my patients with an optimal experience.” as stated by the doctor.
He holds hospital privileges at several local hospitals and medical centers, including Aventura Hospital, Broward Health Medical Center, Memorial Pembroke Hospital, Memorial Regional Hospital, Memorial Hospital West, North Shore Hospital, and Jackson North Medical Center. He can also be found on staff at South Florida ENT Associates.
A 1979 graduate of the New York University School of Medicine, Dr. Mitrani began his career with an internship and residency in general surgery at the University of Louisville Affiliated Hospital in Louisville, Kentucky. He then moved to Bridgeton Hospital in New Jersey, where he was part of the attending staff in emergency medicine until 1982. Afterward, he went on to complete his three-year residency in otolaryngology at Mount Sinai Medical Center in New York.
Driven to constantly improve his knowledge in the area of otolaryngology, he frequently attends educational conferences and professional society meetings to learn about the latest advancements in the field and offer these techniques and technologies to patients.
Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the Florida Medical Association, the Dade County Medical Association, the American Society of Head & Neck Surgery, the American Academy of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, and the American College of Surgeons (Fellow). He is also a firm believer in patient education.
Dedicated to excellence, Dr. Mitrani is board-certified in otolaryngology by the American Board of Otolaryngology-Head and Neck Surgery, which serves the public by ensuring that diplomates meet the standards of training, knowledge, and professionalism through initial and continuing certification.
