Get to know Internist Dr. Benjamin J. Kulper, who serves patients in Warren, Ohio.

Dr. Kulper is a board-certified internist who is licensed to practice medicine in Ohio. He is affiliated with Trumbull Regional Medical Center & Mercy Health – St. Joseph Warren Hospital.

With 346 beds, Trumbull Regional Medical Center serves the health care needs of residents in the Mahoning Valley. It offers a vast scope of inpatient and outpatient medical and surgical services from emergency, cardiac and critical care to orthopedic, and other diagnostic and therapeutic services. A designated Level III Trauma Center; the hospital also has achieved Chest Pain v6 accreditation, which is the highest level accreditation from the American College of Cardiology.

As Trumbull County’s health care leader, Mercy Health — St. Joseph Warren Hospital offers a full range of primary care and extensive diagnostic and therapeutic outpatient services, including the area’s most innovative emergency department and most comprehensive cancer center. It is the first verified Level III trauma center in Trumbull County and part of the only regional trauma network which includes a Level I Trauma Center at St. Elizabeth in Youngstown. 

A 1980 graduate of the School of Medicine at Universidad Autónoma de Guadalajara in Mexico, Dr. Kulper relocated to the United States to further his training. Once there, he performed his residency in internal medicine at Akron General Medical Center from 1982 until 1985.

With over 40 years of experience, the doctor is an active member of the Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Society & the Canadian Undersea and Hyperbaric Medical Association.

Internal medicine is the medical specialty dealing with the prevention, diagnosis, and treatment of adult diseases. Physicians specializing in internal medicine are called internists. They manage and prevent common and complex diseases by providing comprehensive care and promoting overall well-being.
