An established psychiatrist, Dr. Mlodzik is currently retired. Previously, he has worked both in private practice and with the lorida Womens Prision, Department of Correction in Florida.
Back in the early days of his academic career, he graduated with his medical degree from the University of Warsaw in Poland in 1971. After relocating to the United States, he completed his residency in psychiatry at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai in 1992, followed by a second residency in psychiatry at the Zucker School of Medicine at Hofstra/Northwell in 1993.
Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. These include various maladaptations related to mood, behavior, cognition, and perceptions. Psychiatrists evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with mental, emotional, and behavioral disorders.
