Get to know Dentist Dr. Elsa W. Hernandez, who serves patients in California.

A graduate of the UCLA School of Dentistry, Dr. Hernandez is a skilled dentist who tends to patients’ dental needs at Heavenly Kids Dental with offices in Los Angeles and Compton, California.

“I believe the unique quality of the HKD team is that all of them, like me, enjoy coming to work in this office. From the front staff to the clinical team, we love getting to know all the patients who come in and the patients get to know us, too! It’s the relationships that we develop with our patients that make our office unique. They are part of us, and they know we care about them and that our work is done in their best interest” as stated by the dentist. 

In order to learn about the latest developments in her field, Dr. Hernandez attends continuing education courses through her affiliations with the American Dental Association and the California Dental Association. This enables her to provide better treatment for her patients, seeing as how technology in dentistry is evolving at a fast pace, and dental materials with newer, better longevity are constantly changing. 

“I love the feeling of helping patients through my work. If it’s by fixing a chipped tooth in an adult or providing dentures for my older patients, or just teaching a child how to brush their teeth—it is a rewarding feeling” expressed Dr. Hernandez.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy.
