The doctor’s acclaimed career in medicine began after he earned his medical degree from the University of the Philippines College of Medicine. Upon relocating to the United States, he went on to serve his residency in internal medicine at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai. He worked as Chief Resident at North General Hospital in New York before joining Nanticoke Memorial Hospital.

Dedicated to his profession, Dr. Evangelista is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine, a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world. 

His professional memberships include the American College of Physicians, the American Medical Association, the Education Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates, the Philippine Medical Association, and the Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi.
