A seasoned reproductive endocrinologist & infertility specialist, Dr. Peress is the Founder and Medical Director of Boca Fertility in Boca Raton, Florida. He also serves as a Clinical Assistant Professor at the Charles E. Schmidt College of Medicine at Florida Atlantic University.
A pioneering and successful fertility center since 1982, Boca Fertility was the first IVF center in Palm Beach County to accomplish a successful pregnancy and delivery of a baby conceived through IVF. Their sympathetic and understanding doctors working together with their dedicated staff provide patients with the expert care and the emotional support they deserve.
Pertaining to his educational pursuits, Dr. Peress graduated with his medical degree from the University of Connecticut School of Medicine, and completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the same educational venue in 1980. Later, he completed a fellowship in reproductive endocrinology and infertility at the Medical University of South Carolina in 1982.
Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in reproductive endocrinology & infertility and obstetrics & gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.
Among his professional affiliations, he has been elected as a member of the American Society for Reproductive Medicine, the Society of Reproductive Surgeons, the Society for Assisted Reproductive Technology, the GynecoRadiology Society, the Gynecologic Laser Society, and the Florida Society of Reproductive Endocrinologists. He is also a life member of the Endometriosis Association.
Since founding Boca Fertility in 1982, Dr. Peress has trained many other doctors in advanced reproductive surgical techniques and has been called upon to lecture to patient and physician groups. He is now performing minimally invasive robotic laparoscopic surgery for removal of uterine fibroids and reversal of sterilization.
Reproductive endocrinology and infertility (REI) is a surgical subspecialty of obstetrics and gynecology that trains physicians in reproductive medicine addressing hormonal functioning as it pertains to the reproduction, as well as the issue of infertility. While most REI specialists primarily focus on the treatment of infertility, reproductive endocrinologists are trained to also evaluate and treat hormonal dysfunctions in females and males after the reproductive years.
Among his various accolades, Dr. Peress has been selected by his peers as a Top Doctor in the 1999 Top Doctors survey conducted by the Center for the Study of Services. He was named to the list of Top Doctors by South Florida Magazine in 1997, and has been listed in the new edition of the Best Physicians in the United States.
