A knowledgeable internist, Dr. Hobaica is the Medical Director of Arthrex Medical Center in Naples, Florida. He joined Arthrex in the spring of 2011, and he was challenged by the opportunity to use both his entrepreneurial business interest and his medical background in internal/occupational medicine. He is very excited about all the challenges and growth occurring in the corporate medical program at Arthrex.

Originally from Massachusetts, Dr. Hobaica is a graduate of Bridgewater State University with a degree in Business Administration. He earned his medical degree from St. George’s University School of Medicine in 1996, and completed his residency in internal medicine at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center.
As a testament of his continued education, the doctor is board-certified in internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
Throughout his career, he served on the staff at the University of Massachusetts Medical Center from 1996 through 1999. He relocated to Florida in 1999 and joined the emergency department at Naples Community Hospital for one year before going into practice for himself. As an interesting complement to his professional background in primary and emergency care, he also worked as a firefighter and emergency medical technician for several years. He developed a health care program for the first responders of Collier County where he still serves as fire department physician.
