A top professional in the field of interventional cardiology, Dr. Bass is affiliated with UF Health, seeing patients at their two Cardiovascular Centers in Jacksonville, Florida. His areas of focus include cardiac catheterization, heart attack, complex coronary angioplasty, Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy and more.

Before embarking on his professional journey, he received his medical degree from The Warren Alpert Medical School of Brown University in 1976. In order to further his training, he completed his residency in internal medicine at the Mayo Graduate School of Medicine in 1979, and his fellowship in cardiovascular disease at the Boston University Medical Center in 1981.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in interventional cardiology, cardiovascular disease, and internal medicine through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

With a passion for teaching, Dr. Bass has served as a Professor of Medicine at the University of Florida since 1998.
