Get to know Orthopaedist Dr. Payam Tabrizi, who serves patients in California. 

Dr. Tabrizi is an orthopaedist serving with Hughston Clinic Orthopaedics, a practice that has sought to provide the most advanced orthopaedic services available to men, women, and children of all ages and all walks of life. Today, Hughston Clinic comprises a number of leading institutions for the diagnosis and treatment of orthopaedic conditions, as well as orthopaedic research, education, and training. 

In regards to his education, Dr. Tabrizi earned his Medical Degree from the University of Ottawa in 1994. He continued his training through an arthroplasty and orthopaedic oncology fellowship at Ottawa General Hospital and a fellowship in trauma and pelvic fractures at the Royal Adelaide Hospital.  

To stay up to date in his field, Dr. Tabrizi maintains a professional membership with the American Association of Orthopaedic Surgeons (AAOS). The AAOS is the preeminent provider of musculoskeletal education to orthopaedic surgeons and others in the world. Its continuing medical education activities include a world-renowned Annual Meeting, multiple CME courses held around the country and at the Orthopaedic Learning Center, and various medical and scientific publications and electronic media materials. 

Orthopaedics a branch of medicine concerned with the correction or prevention of deformities, disorders, or injuries of the skeleton and associated structures. As an orthopaedist, Dr. Tabrizi tends to bones, ligaments, muscles, joints, nerves, and tendons. He is specialized traumatology, fracture care, and adult reconstruction. 

With over 25 years of experience in the field, Dr. Tabrizi has treated thousands of patients. He was recognized as Resident Educator of the year in 2004 while serving at the Santa Clara Valley Medical Center.
