Dr. Aruna Chhabria has been practicing medicine since 2009. She completed her medical education with honors at Gandhi Medical College in India before pursuing further training in Family Medicine at the Medical Center of Central Georgia in Macon, GA. There, she gained a comprehensive understanding of healthcare across the lifespan, from birth to end-of-life care.
Dr. Chhabria's diverse experience includes primary care, urgent care, emergency medicine, inpatient care, nursing home and rehabilitation care, as well as home health services. She is also well-versed in the unique healthcare needs of active-duty military personnel, veterans, and military families, drawing on her experience in military medicine.
After working in several healthcare settings across multiple states, Dr. Chhabria is opening her own practice in San Antonio, Texas, in October 2024, fulfilling her parents' dream of serving the community on her own terms.
In addition, Dr. Chhabria is skilled in performing annual, preventive, Department of Transportation (DOT), employment, immigration, school, and sports physicals, among others. She is proficient in both in-person and telemedicine consultations.
Dr. Chhabria lives with her husband of 30 years in San Antonio, Texas. A family-oriented physician and dedicated military mom, she finds joy in reading, sustainable organic gardening, watching classic films, and volunteering in her community.
