Get to know Pain Management Specialist Dr. Linda Li, who serves patients in Illinois.

Dr. Li is a pain management specialist who has over 25 years of experience taking care of patients with chronic pain. Utilizing a combination of medications, physical therapy, and various procedures, she is the Founder of Integrative Medical Pain Clinic with offices in Chicago and Rockford, Illinois.

A firm believer that most chronic pain conditions are treatable, Dr. Li substitutes drug therapy with nutrients and non-drug alternatives, as well as prescribes low dose naltrexone to treat inflammatory arthritis and autoimmune disorders. Many of her patients experience pain release and wean off opioid painkillers, thereby returning to productive lives under her treatment plan.

Additionally, Dr. Li focuses on investigating the roots of chronic inflammation and the causes of pain by ordering environmental toxins, food allergies and chronic inflammation tests. She works on promoting internal healing processes by healing the gut, balancing hormones, and repairing internal tissue damage. In doing so, she aims to improve sleep and reduce anxiety.

After earning her medical degree and her Master of Science degree in Neuroscience from Sun Yat-sen University - Zhongshan School of Medicine in China, Dr. Li relocated to the United States. There, she completed her surgical residency at the University of South Alabama, followed by her residency in physical medicine and rehabilitation at Schwab Rehabilitation Hospital/University of Chicago. She also received special training in functional medicine, integrative medicine, and environmental medicine.

Dr. LI is board-certified in physical medicine and rehabilitation by the American Board of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, whose mission is to serve the public by improving the quality of patient care in physical medicine and rehabilitation. This is accomplished through a process of certification and maintenance of certification that fosters excellence and encourages continuous learning.

Pain management, pain medicine, pain control or algiatry, is a branch of medicine employing an interdisciplinary approach for easing the suffering and improving the quality of life of those living with chronic pain. A pain management specialist is a doctor who specializes in pain medicine, focusing on the evaluation, treatment, and prevention of pain.

As motility related to opioid overdose death and addiction spurs in the United States, more and more patients with chronic pain are virtually in search of a pain management specialist who has experience in transitional pain management skills and procedures, but is also an expert in  nutritional and dietary supplements used to help reduce inflammation and pain, manage anxiety and depression, as well as lower the risk of chronic disease, among others. Dr. Li can provide a quote for those patients who fear adverse drug reactions and are interested in high-quality supplements that provide the speediest recovery.

Throughout her extensive career, she has been the recipient of several honors and recognitions, including America’s Top Physician by Consumers’ Research Council of America and TradeMark Top Doctors of America, among others.
