Dr. Graves is a Louisville native and is proud to call Derby City home. After spending part of her childhood in Clearwater, Florida, she moved to Tennessee to earn a Bachelor of Science degree in biology and a minor in Spanish from Carson Newman College in 2005. Following her graduation, she returned to Louisville and attended the University of Louisville School of Dentistry where she earned her Doctor of Medicine in Dentistry degree. She practiced dentistry in Southern Indiana for seven years before becoming the owner of her own dental practice in Louisville.
Dr. Graves engages in extensive continuing education to further her dental care expertise. She is a member of the American Dental Association, the Kentucky Dental Association, the Louisville Dental Society, the American Academy of Facial Aesthetics, and the Academy of General Dentistry.
Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions, and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. Drawn to the arts and sciences, Dr. Graves loves being creative, solving problems, and educating people about how to create and maintain their smile and overall oral health.
Dr. Graves married her husband, TJ, a local high school teacher and baseball coach, in 2008. Together, they have three children – Cannon, Lincoln, and Sutton. In her spare time, Dr. Graves enjoys camping, cooking, and eating at new restaurants to help support the local businesses that are a part of Louisville’s renowned food scene.
