Being an experienced psychiatrist, Dr. Frino is in practice with Buffalo VA Medical Center in Buffalo, New York.

VA Western New York Healthcare System (VAWNYHS), part of VA Health Care Upstate New York (VISN 2), consists of two health care facilities in Buffalo and Batavia, as well as community based outpatient clinics in Dunkirk, Jamestown, Lackawanna, Lockport, Niagara Falls, Olean and Springville.

The Buffalo facility opened in 1950 and provides medical, surgical, mental health, and long term care services through a range of inpatient and outpatient programs. It is the main referral center for cardiac surgery, cardiology, and comprehensive cancer care for central and western New York and northern Pennsylvania. 

Educated in Argentina, Dr. Fino graduated with her medical degree from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba in 1974. She then performed her residency in psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst in 1995, and her fellowship in geriatric psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center in 1996.

Specializing in mental health, she is licensed to practice medicine in Georgia, Washington, and Puerto Rico.

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. Upon relocating to the United States, she conducted her residency training in psychiatry at Mount Sinai School of Medicine at Elmhurst (1992-1995). In addition, she completed her fellowship training in geriatric psychiatry at Long Island Jewish Medical Center (1995-1996).
