Get to know Psychiatrist Dr. Peggy J Lomax, who serves patients in McLean, Virginia. 

Dr. Lomax is a psychiatrist serving McLean and the surrounding communities. She is affiliated with Dominion Hospital, a freestanding mental healthcare facility located in Northern Virginia. Dominion Hospital leads the region in short-term mental health services for children, adolescents, and adults, and provides therapeutic programs to treat eating disorders through their Reflections Eating Disorders Treatment Center.  

In regards to her education, Dr. Lomax earned her Medical Degree from Georgetown University School of Medicine in 1987. She went on to complete her psychiatry residency at the same venue. She is licensed to practice in the state of Virginia and Florida. Due to her expertise in her field, she has written and co-written multiple publications, in many different medical journals. 

Psychiatry is the medical specialty devoted to the diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of mental disorders. As a psychiatrist, Dr. Lomax treats patients through a variety of methods including medications, psychotherapy or talk therapy, psychosocial interventions and more, depending on each individual case. She is specialized in treating Bipolar Disorder.
