Get to know Cosmetic Surgeon Dr. P. Alexander Ataii, who serves patients in San Diego, California.

Dr. Ataii is a skilled skin care specialist who focuses on all aspects of the skin, both diagnostic and cosmetic. He opened his San Diego Med Spa known as Laser Cliniqúe in 2005 in Coastal San Diego, California to provide his unique service throughout the county.

With an innovative approach to skin and body care, Laser Cliniqúe integrates cosmetic dermatology, cosmetic surgery, spa services, and aesthetic therapy in a state-of-the-art facility. To date, Dr. Ataii and his staff have performed over 100,000 laser hair removal treatments, 25,000 botox treatments, 20,000 dermal fillers, 7,000 laser tattoo removal treatments, 5,500 laser resurfacing procedures, 12,000 acne & acne scar treatments, 17, 500 IPL treatments, and more than 3,000 PRP procedures.

He is currently on the medical staff at Scripps Memorial Hospital, La Jolla, and the preceptor for clinicians throughout the country for multiple laser manufacturers. He is also a speaker/trainer for Allergan, the makers of Botox Cosmetic, Juvederm, Latisse Solution, and SkinMedica. He has achieved Black Diamond Status with Allergan, which places him in the Top 50 of 30,000 providers nationwide.

A 2002 graduate of the Ross University School of Medicine, Dr. Ataii went on to perform his residency at the LAC+USC Medical Center in 2005. Before long, he became board-certified in plastic surgery through the American Board of Plastic Surgery, whose mission is to promote safe, ethical, efficacious plastic surgery to the public by maintaining high standards for the education, examination, certification, and continuous certification of plastic surgeons as specialists and subspecialists.

Among his professional affiliations, he is a member of the American Academy of Laser Medicine and Surgery, the American Academy of Anti-Aging Medicine, and the American Academy of Cosmetic Surgery. 

Thriving in his field, Dr. Ataii has been featured in various magazines, on national television such as NBC and ABC, as well as talk shows for his contributions to the field of aesthetics. He has been featured for his work on fractional laser resurfacing in Aesthetic Trends & Technologies magazine and has been interviewed as the expert in Aesthetic Medicine.

Cosmetic surgery is a unique discipline of medicine focused on enhancing appearance through surgical and medical techniques. It can be performed on all areas of the head, neck, and body.
