He was emotionally intense and wanted a career where he could use his academic and military training to help people with their emotional and psychological problems. He maintained a work-life balance throughout his career and has never felt burnt out from his profession.Dr. Spensley completed his undergrad work in three years and was streamlined to medical school. After graduating with his medical degree, he had the huge responsibility of running the inpatient psych ward and the outpatient treatment while serving in the U.S. Army. The doctor gets great pleasure from being able to help people. He says working with people over an extended period of time and seeing their progress has been extremely rewarding. He enjoys his work now more than ever and credits his growing maturity for that.Although he is not taking on new patients, he still sees several patients each week.
