Get to know Pediatric Neurologist Dr. Ivet Hartonian, who serves patients in Los Angeles, California.

Dr. Hartonian is a fellowship-trained pediatric neurologist who sees infants (0-2) and children (2-12) at White Memorial Community Health Center in Los Angeles, California.

A part of Adventist Health, White Memorial Community Health Center is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing primary healthcare services to all members of the community, regardless of their ability to pay. The compassionate physicians are committed to ensuring that the children and adults they serve receive high-quality healthcare services that are personalized to their individual needs and preferences. 

Graduating with her medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 2009, Dr. Hartonian went on to further her training. She performed her residency in pediatrics and her fellowship in pediatric neurology at Ronald Reagan UCLA Medical Center in 2010 and 2013, respectively. 

Following her education, she attained board certification in neurology and child neurology through the American Board of Neurology and Psychiatry (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology. 

Neurology is a branch of medicine dealing with disorders of the nervous system. Neurologists are licensed medical specialists who diagnose and treat disorders that affect the brain, spinal cord, nerves, and muscles of patients. A child neurologist, or pediatric neurologist, is a doctor who treats children who have problems with their nervous system. Problems in the nervous system can start in the brain, spine, nerves, or muscles. These can lead to problems such as seizures, headaches, or developmental delays.

On a more personal note, Dr. Hartonian speaks both English and Armenian.
