Back in 1994, he graduated with his Bachelor of Arts degree in Medical Science from Boston University, and earned his medical degree from the Boston University School of Medicine. He went on to complete his internship, residency in psychiatry, and fellowship in child & adolescent psychiatry at the same educational venue, and completed an additional fellowship in forensic psychiatry at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in psychiatry through the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to serving the professions of psychiatry and neurology.
