Dr. Shah is a board-certified cardiologist who has been in practice for more than 21 years. He currently serves as Chairman of Interventional Cardiology and Vice-Chairman of Cardiology at Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center in Florida. Palm Beach Gardens Medical Center is a 199-bed acute care hospital serving the residents of Palm Beach County and the Treasure Coast. The hospital was the first in Palm Beach County to perform open-heart surgery and has since remained one of the area’s leading heart hospitals.
Having grown up in Palm Beach Gardens, Dr. Shah returned home after training and has been practicing cardiology and interventional cardiology in this area since 2003. He currently maintains staff privileges at Jupiter Medical Center, Lakeside Medical Center, Wellington Regional Medical Center, and Palms West Hospital.
During his academic career, he earned his medical degree from the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine. He then went on to complete his internship and residency at the University of Alabama Medical Center, followed by his fellowships in cardiovascular disease and interventional cardiology at Jackson Memorial Hospital.
In addition to being a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and a Fellow of the Society for Cardiovascular Angiography and Interventions, Dr. Shah is board-certified in cardiovascular disease with a subspecialty in interventional cardiology by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
