Get to know Dentist Dr. Cheryl Hartman, who serves patients in Shelbyville and Indianapolis, Indiana.

Dr. Hartman is a dentist who has been in practice since 2007. She is currently serving patients’ dental needs at the office of Randall L. Miller, D.D.S. LLC in Shelbyville, Indiana. The state-of-the-art dental practice is dedicated to meeting the dental needs of every patient by providing the highest quality of dental services in an environment that is comfortable and caring. “Whether you require a routine checkup and cleaning, have a toothache that needs emergency dental care, want to enhance the appearance of your smile with one of our excellent cosmetic services or have more complex restorative needs to address, we can help you to achieve a healthy and beautiful smile” as stated on the dental practice’s website. 

Dr. Hartman is also an owner of  Murphy’s Landing Family Dental in Indianapolis, Indiana. There, she and Dr. Courtney Geiger, DDS, remain dedicated to providing patients and their families the very best in patient care and comfort. They offer numerous dental services, including tooth colored fillings, enamel modification, denture repair, fluoride treatments, periodontal therapy, cosmetic dentistry, Invisalign clear aligner therapy and more. Dr. Hartman earned her undergraduate degree in clinical laboratory sciences from Indiana University, followed by her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Indiana University School of Dentistry in 2007. 

While in school, Dr. Hartman worked as a pharmacy technician at CVS. After college, she worked as a medical technologist in the Allergy and Immunology Department at IU Health where she performed phlebotomy, prepared allergy injections, as well as ran laboratory testing.

Dr. Hartman is an active member of the Indianapolis District Dental Society, the Indiana Dental Association, and the American Dental Association. Dr. Hartman is a Silver Level Provider with Invisalign®. She also regularly attends an implant study club.

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. As a dentist, Dr. Hartman is responsible for diagnosing oral diseases, as well as promoting oral health and disease prevention. Additionally, she looks for abnormalities within the mouth such as lumps, swelling or discoloration, and performs necessary diagnostic procedures to diagnose and treat these abnormalities. Dr. Hartman utilizes a near painless injection system to deliver dental analgesia, thereby helping patients experience a more relaxing visit.
