Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. David B. Robson, who serves patients in St. Louis, Missouri.

Dr. Robson is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon. He is the Founder and President of Comprehensive Spine Care in St. Louis, Missouri. Comprehensive Spine Care is an orthopedic clinic specializing in non-surgical and surgical spine solutions. 

Dr. Robson also serves as Chief of Surgery at Missouri Baptist Medical Center in St. Louis. He provides orthopedic spinal surgery options, including large reconstructive surgeries, treatment for back aches, and minimally invasive back surgeries. Furthermore, Dr. Robson is affiliated with St. Luke’s Hospital in Chesterfield, Missouri.

Dr. Robson earned his medical degree from Saint Louis University School of Medicine in 1983. He completed his internship and residency in general surgery at Saint Louis University Hospital, followed by his fellowship in spine surgery with Dr. Arthur Steffee at Cleveland Hospital. Dr. Robson also holds a Master of Health Care Delivery Science (MHCDS) from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth.

Dr. Robson is a member of the American Association of Orthopedic Surgery, the American Medical Association, the St. Louis Metropolitan Medical Society, the St. Louis Orthopaedic Association, the St. Louis Spine Society, the Missouri State Medical Association, and the North American Spine Society.

Dr. Robson is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopaedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons, as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

Orthopedic surgery or orthopedics, also spelled orthopaedics, is the branch of surgery concerned with conditions involving the musculoskeletal system. Orthopedic surgeons use both surgical and nonsurgical means to treat musculoskeletal trauma, spine diseases, sports injuries, degenerative diseases, infections, tumors, and congenital disorders.
