A skilful and caring general surgeon, Dr. Angott is the Founder of Angott Surgical Associates with offices in Washington and Waynesburg, Pennsylvania. He works alongside Dr. Wayne Myers, DO, helping patients to feel their best.

The doctor duo have lived and served the community for nearly 20 years. Specializing in advanced techniques, including robotic surgery and advanced laparoscopy, their mission is to tailor surgical care in order to give patients the best quality of life. Their vision is to provide efficient surgical care with reduction in recovery time, all the while increasing the patient’s ability to live a productive life.

Graduating with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1998, Dr. Angott went on to further his training. He performed his surgical residency with PinnacleHealth in Harrisburg, Pennsylvania.

A member of the American Osteopathic Association, the doctor is board-certified in general surgery by the American Osteopathic Board of Surgery (AOBS). The AOBS is an organization that provides board certification to qualified Doctors of Osteopathic Medicine who specialize in the use of surgery to aid in the diagnosis and treatment of disease.

Among his other roles, Dr. Angott has been the Medical Director of TriState Surgical since 2019, and the Chief of General Surgery at Washington Health System since 2012. He is affiliated with Canonsburg Hospital and Washington Hospital.

General surgery is a surgical specialty that focuses on abdominal contents including the esophagus, stomach, small bowel, colon, liver, pancreas, gallbladder, appendix and bile ducts, and often the thyroid gland. A general surgeon performs a wide range of abdominal surgeries for many forms of intestinal and abdominal wall neoplasms, gallbladder disease, gastric and pancreatic disease. They follow the patient through critical care and surgical recovery all the way to outpatient care. 

Happily married, Dr. Angott and his wife, Kimberly Angott, have three children: Nathan, Ryan and Allison. Outside of work, he enjoys fishing/hunting, golfing, and gardening. He also likes going to high school and college football games.
