An exceptional obstetrician-gynecologist, Dr. Swarup is a Co-Founder of New Horizons Women’s Care and of Women’s Health Arizona. He is a recognized national expert for in-office procedures with anesthesia and has taught hundreds of providers across the United States. He specializes in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, urinary incontinence, pelvic organ prolapse, high-risk obstetrics, and in-office procedures.

Women’s Health Arizona is a family of OB/GYN physicians that have joined together to care for women—and help them cultivate their own family trees. They believe in the power of family, the strength of unity, the importance of listening, and the respect that comes from understanding. From annual gynecological exams and obstetric care to mammography and specialty services, they strive to deliver the unique, personalized care patients deserve.

Completing his undergraduate education at Cornell University – College of Arts and Sciences, Dr. Swarup graduated with his medical degree from the University of Pittsburgh School of Medicine. He then completed his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at the Baylor College of Medicine, where he was Chief Resident.

Following his training, the doctor attained board certification in obstetrics and gynecology through the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Continuously advancing his efforts, he is an active member of the Women’s and Infants Service Line Clinical Institute, and a former member of the Maternal Child Health Council.

In his professional experience, Dr. Swarup is affiliated with Chandler Regional Medical Center, Mercy Gilbert Medical Center, Ocotillo Surgery Center, Arizona Care Network, and Arizona OB/GYN Affiliates.

With a passion for teaching, he serves as an Assistant Clinical Professor within the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at Midwestern University.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts).
