Get to know Pediatrician Dr. Habib Nazarian, who serves patients in the State of New York.

As a board-certified pediatrician who has been in practice for more than four decades, Dr. Nazarian is affiliated with several hospitals and medical centers in the State of New York, including Long Island Jewish Medical Center, North Shore University Hospital, and Steven and Alexandra Cohen Children’s Medical Center of New York. 

All three entities are a part of Northwell Health, which is a nonprofit integrated healthcare network that strives to improve the health of the communities it serves. It is committed to providing the highest quality clinical care; educating the current and future generations of healthcare professionals; searching for new advances in medicine through the conduct of biomedical research; promoting health education; and caring for the entire community regardless of the ability to pay.

On the subject of Dr. Nazarian’s educational background, he earned his medical degree from Shiraz University of Medical Sciences in Shiraz, Iran in 1973. He proceeded to complete his internship at the same educational venue, after which he relocated to the United States to complete his residency in pediatrics at Elmhurst Hospital Center in New York. 

Honing his skills as a medical professional, the doctor is board-certified in pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). Founded in 1933, the ABP is an independent, nonprofit organization whose certification is recognized throughout the world as a credential signifying a high level of physician competence. 

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. As a pediatrician, Dr. Nazarian examines, diagnoses, and treats children of all ages with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses. He understands that children change rapidly and they must be approached with an appreciation for their stage of physical and mental development.
