Get to know Neurosurgeon Dr. Jasvinder Singh Nangiana, who serves patients in Mission Hills, California

Dr. Nangiana is a board-certified neurosurgeon who practices at Providence Medical Institute - Mission Hills in Mission Hills, California. As a neurosurgeon, he focuses on cerebrovascular surgery, neurosurgical spine surgery, brain and spinal tumor surgery, and skull base surgery. 

Dr. Nangiana is a 2008-graduate of Stanford University School of Medicine in Stanford, California. He then completed a neurosurgery residency at UCLA Medical Center in Los Angeles, California (2008 - 2015), followed by a skull base and neuro-oncology fellowship conducted at Johns Hopkins University School of Medicine in Baltimore, Maryland (2015 - 2016).

Subsequent to his education, the doctor attained board certification in neurosurgery through the American Board of Neurological Surgery. The broad aim of the American Board of Neurological Surgery is to encourage the study, improve the practice, elevate the standards, and advance the science of neurological surgery, and thereby to serve the cause of public health.

Neurosurgery or neurological surgery, known in common parlance as brain surgery, is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, central and peripheral nervous system, and cerebrovascular system.

Dr. Mamgiana is licensed to practice in the state of California and is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons.
