Dr. Lloyd obtained his medical degree from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill School of Medicine and completed his residency in neurology at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System located in Richmond, Virginia. He is board-certified by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology. Currently, Dr. Lloyd serves as the director of the Riverside Multiple Sclerosis Center, which offers comprehensive care to approximately 1,500 patients. Dr. Lloyd has a deep-seated passion for multiple sclerosis (MS) and is actively involved as both principal and co-investigator in various ongoing clinical trials. His extensive research in clinical trials also encompasses treatments for conditions such as Parkinson's disease, stroke, migraine headaches, epilepsy, and Alzheimer’s disease. He firmly believes that the brain is the core of our identity and regards it as a privilege to be entrusted with the neurological well-being of his patients. Originally hailing from Chapel Hill, North Carolina, Dr. Lloyd resides in Newport News with his wife, Alisa, and their two dogs, Zippy and Flurry. When he is not engaged in his professional pursuits, he enjoys exploring different cultures through travel, tending to his garden, and following ACC basketball.
