Dr. Vani is a board-certified orthopedic surgeon with a sub-specialty in sports medicine. He is in practice with Providence Medical Group – Orthopedics, located within Providence Medical Center in Kansas City, Kansas.
Back in the early days of his academic career, Dr. Vani graduated with his medical degree from Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine in 1993. He then went on to complete an internship in general surgery at Ochsner Medical Foundation in New Orleans, Louisiana, and a residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Missouri – Kansas City School of Medicine. He also completed a fellowship in sports medicine at the Perth Orthopedic and Sports Medicine Centre in Perth, Western Australia, completing his training in 1999.
Following his training, he attained board certification in orthopedic surgery and orthopedic sports medicine through the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
A trusted physician, Dr. Vani has served the Kansas City community for nearly two decades. He is a member of the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons and the American College of Sports Medicine.
