Get to know Oncologist Dr. Margaret Gore, who serves patients throughout the State of Tennessee.

Dr. Gore is a skilled oncologist who is affiliated with Baptist Memorial Health Care, which is regarded as one of the premier health care systems in the nation. Namely, she holds privileges at Baptist Memorial Hospital-Collierville, Baptist Memorial Hospital-DeSoto, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Memphis, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Tipton, Baptist Memorial Hospital-Union City, and Baptist Memorial Hospital for Women.

Receiving her undergraduate degree at Harvard University, Dr. Gore went on to graduate with her medical degree from the Duke University School of Medicine in 1986. She then performed her internship and residency in internal medicine and her fellowship in medical oncology at the University of Alabama Medical Center.

A member of the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the doctor is board-certified in medical oncology, hematology, and internal medicine by the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.

In 2005, Dr. Gore joined Dr. Weeks and Dr. Obaji at Integrity Oncology Foundation, which takes pride in offering a wide range of services to its patients as well addressing the patients’ emotional needs and those of their families. Happily married, Dr. Gore and her husband, Peter Baskind, an attorney, have two children, David and Abby. The family is surrounded by animals – they have three horses and four dogs, all Schnauzers. Dr. Gore has been showing one of the horses, Hercules, in the Hunter divisions of the US Equestrian Federation competition, including the Germantown Charity event.
