Well-versed in the field of neurology, Dr. Ewing-Wilson’s areas of expertise include electromyography, multiple sclerosis, neurophysiology, and sleep medicine. She is the Director of the Community Neurology Center and Vice Chair of Operations for the Department of Neurology at University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center. 

As such, she oversees the day-to-day operations for UHMP and UHMG faculty outpatient and inpatient practices, focusing on meeting the University Hospital Neurological Institute’s strategic goals. She assists the Department Chair in recruiting and retaining high-quality faculty for the Community Neurology Center’s clinical, education, and administrative programs to assure that the Neurological Institute maintains its regional leadership and national prominence. 

University Hospitals Cleveland Medical Center is a major not-for-profit medical complex in Cleveland, Ohio, United States. Since 1986, it has been an affiliate hospital of Case Western Reserve University. The mission of the hospital is “To Heal. To Teach. To Discover.”

With over 30 years of experience in healthcare management, Dr. Ewing-Wilson was the Medical Director of Clinically Integrated Networks and Third-Party Payers at HealthSpan Physicians Inc. In this role, she was responsible for the quality and appropriate resource management across all business lines with a focus on Medicare Advantage and HIX (Health Insurance Exchange) members. 

As the Associate Medical Director of medical and surgical specialties at Kaiser Permanente, she was responsible for measuring, monitoring, and implementing key clinical quality measures and complex case management strategies across twenty-five specialties.

Currently, she holds a faculty position at Case Western Reserve University School of Medicine, where she is an Clinical Assistant Professor in the Department of Neurology. She also holds privileges at UH Twinsburg Health Center and UH Portage Medical Center.

Regarding her educational background, Dr. Ewing-Wilson completed her undergraduate training at Wellesley College, and earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Chicago College of Osteopathic Medicine in 1983. She then went on to pursue her internship at Brentwood Hospital (now Southpointe) and her residency in neurology at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation in 1987, where she served as Chief Resident. 

With an unwavering commitment to her speciality, the doctor is board-certified in neurology, clinical neurophysiology, and sleep medicine by the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology (ABPN). The ABPN is a not-for-profit corporation dedicated to promoting high-quality patient care for the public through the initial and continuing certification of psychiatrists and neurologists. 

Professionally, Dr. Ewing-Wilson is a member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Sleep Medicine, and the American Academy of Neurology.
