Dr. Elizabeth Dineen is a UCI Health cardiologist whose clinical and research interests focus on integrative, preventative and sports and exercise cardiology, including cardiopulmonary exercise testing.

 

She enjoys helping people in creating exercise prescriptions, clearing athletes for sport, nutrition counseling, lipid therapies, cardiovascular risk stratification and mitigation, among others. 

 

Dr. Dineen obtained her medical degree at A.T. Still University - Kirksville College of Osteopathic Medicine in Kirksville, Missouri. She completed her internal medicine residency at Cleveland Clinic in Cleveland, Ohio, after which she served as Chief Medical Resident. Her training continued at Scripps Clinic in La Jolla, California where she completed her cardiovascular diseases fellowship in 2020 and served as Chief Graduate Medical Education Fellow.  She is active with the American Heart Association and the American College of Cardiology California and National Sports and Exercise Cardiology Committees.
