After receiving his Medical Degree from the Universidad Nacional de Córdoba, Dr. Vinas pursued specialized training. He completed a neurological surgery residency at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, followed by a general surgery residency at the University of Illinois. Additionally, he undertook a microneurosurgery research fellowship at Henry Ford Hospital.

Board certified in neurological surgery, Dr. Vinas is recognized as a Diplomate of the American Board of Neurological Surgery (ABNS). The primary purposes of the ABNS are to conduct examinations of candidates who voluntarily seek certification and to issue certificates to those who meet the requirements of the board and satisfactorily complete its examinations.

In addition to being a Fellow of both the American Association of Neurological Surgeons and the American College of Surgeons, Dr. Vinas is a member of the Congress of Neurological Surgeons, the North American Spine Society, and the Society for Minimally Invasive Spine Surgery.

Over a span of more than two decades, Dr. Vinas has amassed valuable experience both in private practice and as the former Chief of Neurosurgery at Halifax Health in Daytona Beach. He has actively contributed to enhancing patient care and safety through his involvement in various medical boards.

Neurosurgery is the medical specialty concerned with the prevention, diagnosis, surgical treatment, and rehabilitation of disorders which affect any portion of the nervous system including the brain, spinal cord, peripheral nerves, and extra-cranial cerebrovascular system. Neurosurgeons are doctors who diagnose and treat problems with the nervous system, often by performing surgery on the brain or spine. They treat strokes, tumors, certain types of birth defects, infections, and head or spinal cord injuries.
