Get to know Orthopedic Surgeon Dr. Stephen Kelly, who serves patients in Springfield, Massachusetts.

An exceptional orthopedic surgeon, Dr. Kelly works with patients at New England Orthopedic Surgeons in Springfield, Massachusetts. He specializes in Joint Replacement Surgery, including minimally invasive direct superior total hip replacement, minimally invasive total knee replacements, outpatient total hip and total knee replacement, partial knee replacements, computer navigated joint replacement, and revision joint replacement.

New England Orthopedic Surgeons is made up of 18 Physicians, 29 highly trained Physician Assistants and Advanced Practice Registered Nurses, and 180 dedicated employees. Serving the region for over 30 years, they have a strong tradition of community support, charitable giving, and their providers regularly devote time to The Shriners Hospital for Children.

Throughout his academic career, Dr. Kelly received his undergraduate education at Case Western Reserve University, and graduated with his medical degree from the MCP-Hahnemann School of Medicine. After completing his internship and residency in orthopedic surgery at the University of Vermont, he went on to complete the Otto E. Aufranc Fellowship in Adult Reconstruction and Joint Replacement at New England Baptist Hospital.

With an unwavering commitment to his specialty, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.

In good standing with a number of professional organizations, he is an active member of the American Association of Hip and Knee Surgeons, the American Academy of Orthopedic Surgeons, and the Massachusetts Medical Society.

Among his other roles, Dr. Kelly can be found on staff at the Baystate Medical Center.
