A native of New Orleans, Dr. Blanda graduated with his undergraduate degree from Tulane University. He then went on to complete his medical studies at the Louisiana State University School of Medicine in New Orleans in 1969. Upon graduation, he served his residency in orthopedic surgery at New Orleans Charity Hospital from 1970 until 1974.
With over five decades of experience, the doctor is board-certified in orthopedic surgery by the American Board of Orthopedic Surgery (ABOS). The ABOS is an organization with the goal of establishing educational and professional standards for orthopedic residents and surgeons as well as evaluating the qualifications and competence of orthopedic surgeons.
