A top professional in the field of neonatal-perinatal medicine, Dr. Matam is affiliated with Tower Health Medical Group Neonatology, working with patients at their offices in West Reading and Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.

The neonatologists, NICU nurses, therapists, and other trained staff at Tower Health Medical Group Neonatology provide round-the-clock care to infants who need extra attention. They know it isn’t easy when families can’t take their baby home right away, so they do everything they can to support them and put them at ease.

A native of India, Dr. Matam earned his medical degree from the Gandhi Medical College in 1999. Upon relocating to the United States, he completed his internship and residency in pediatrics at the Albert Einstein Medical Center in 2012, and his fellowship in neonatal-perinatal medicine at Cook County Hospital in 2019.

Recognized as a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics (FAAP), the doctor attained board certification in neonatal-perinatal medicine and pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Pediatrics is the branch of medicine that involves the medical care of infants, children, and adolescents. The American Academy of Pediatrics recommends individuals be under pediatric care up to the age of 21. Pediatricians provide medical care to people ranging in age from newborns to young adults. They are trained to examine, diagnose, and treat children with a wide variety of injuries and illnesses through all of their developmental stages, as they grow and mature.
