Get to know Obstetrician-Gynecologist Dr. Udell Bernstein, who serves patients in Denver, Colorado.

Dr. Bernstein is an experienced obstetrician-gynecologist working in Denver, Colorado. He has special training and skill in treating ailments of the reproductive system and related bowel, bladder, and urinary systems, as well as managing pregnancy and child birthing.

In regards to his educational background, Dr. Bernstein graduated with his medical degree from the Roy J. and Lucille A. Carver College of Medicine of the University of Iowa in 1962. He then went on to perform his residency in obstetrics and gynecology at Kings County Hospital Center in New York.

With a focus on the female reproductive system, the doctor is board-certified in obstetrics and gynecology by the American Board of Obstetrics and Gynecology (ABOG). The mission of the ABOG is to define specialty standards, certify obstetricians and gynecologists, and facilitate continuous learning to advance knowledge, practice, and professionalism in women’s health.

Obstetrics and gynecology (OB-GYN) is the medical specialty that encompasses the two subspecialties of obstetrics (covering pregnancy, childbirth, and the postpartum period) and gynecology (covering the health of the female reproductive system – vagina, uterus, ovaries, and breasts). An obstetrician-gynecologist specializes in the diagnosis, treatment, and prevention of diseases and disorders that affect women, such as breast cancer, cervical cancer, and menopause. Additionally, they work with expecting mothers throughout their pregnancies, during childbirth, and into postpartum. 

With over six decades of experience in his field, Dr. Bernstein is the recipient of Compassionate Doctor Recognition (2016) and Patients’ Choice Award (2017).
