Dr. Basovich serves as primary care physician whose areas of interest include preventative medicine, management of hypertension, diabetes, lipid disorders, depression and anxiety, medical care of seniors (geriatric medicine), and chemical dependency/addiction medicine.
At his private practice in Citrus Heights, California, he coordinates patient care for those with chronic conditions as well as those who may require only the occasional visit. He also promotes a healthy lifestyle, and monitoring and tracking health to prevent illness and diseases.
With a foundation of care as the doctor-patient relationship based on mutual trust and respect, Dr. Basovich provides unique, unparalleled expertise using state-of-the-art technology in all aspects of family, internal, and geriatric medicine. His mission is to redefine the quality of healthcare treating ONE patient at a time, and he utilizes the most advanced and innovative treatment methods to preserve and maintain health.
At the start of his academic career, Dr. Basovich graduated with his Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the New York Institute of Technology College of Osteopathic Medicine. He did his traditional internship at Long Beach Medical Center in New York and further continued his medical training with the Family Practice and Osteopathic Manipulative Medicine Residency Program at North Shore-LIJ Healthcare System (currently NorthWell), Plainview Hospital.
After graduating from his training program, he became board-certified through the American Osteopathic Board of Family Physicians, successfully passing board certification examinations and submitting a research thesis on Quality of Medical Care. He further served as an attending physician – active medical staff at J.T Mather Memorial Hospital and St. Charles Hospital and Rehabilitation Center in Port Jefferson, New York.
Continuing to serve the local community as a family doctor, Dr. Basovich opened his private practice in Miller Place, New York. He was a recipient of the Annual Patient Choice Award continuously from the year 2008 to 2014 until he made the decision to relocate and reunite with the rest of his family in California.
Since 2015, he has been practicing medicine in Sacramento, where he is well recognized and highly respected among his colleagues-doctors. His motto is: “My colleagues-specialists focus on diagnosing and treating diseases; I, as a family doctor, help my patients to achieve and preserve health.”
