Embarking on her academic journey, Dr. Chennu earned her medical degree from the Tashkent State Medical Institute in Russia in 1993. Upon graduation, she relocated to Richmond, Virginia to complete an internship at Virginia Commonwealth University. This was followed by a residency in neurology and an extensive fellowship in neurophysiology at the same educational venue in 2000 and 2001, respectively.
She stayed on at Virginia Commonwealth University Health System as an Assistant Professor until 2003 when she decided to enter private practice. From 2003 through 2008, Dr. Chennu practiced in Richmond before relocating to Fort Worth in September of 2008 to enter private practice.
