Back in 1976, Dr. Gadson graduated with her medical degree from Meharry Medical College in Nashville, Tennessee. Upon graduation, she went on to perform her internship and residency in internal medicine at the University of Illinois College of Medicine in Chicago. This was followed by a fellowship in nephrology at the University of Chicago Medical Center.
Subsequent to her education, the doctor attained board certification in internal medicine and nephrology through the American Board of Internal Medicine (ABIM). The ABIM is a physician-led, non-profit, independent evaluation organization driven by doctors who want to achieve higher standards for better care in a rapidly changing world.
In order to stay up to date in her field, Dr. Gadson remains an active member of the American College of Physicians.
