Dr. Ng is a board-certified urologist who is currently serving patients at Tower Urology in Los Angeles, California. As California’s premier urology center, Tower Urology aims to provide patients with the highest level of expertise, as well as continuity of care. Of the surgical and office procedures done routinely by the Tower Urology, many are new and innovative, introduced within the last ten years and include: extra corporeal shock wave lithotripsy (ESWL) – the non-surgical treatment of kidney and ureteral stone disease; lasers in the management of stone, bladder and prostate disease; laparoscopy; innovative approaches in the treatment of prostatic and bladder cancers; sexual dysfunction with the use of injectables and implants; kidney and prostate ultrasound; tomography; sophisticated chemical diagnostic testing; microwave therapy for BPH; and biofeedback for incontinence. 

Dr. Ng is also a Clinical Assistant Professor of Urology at Harbor-UCLA Medical Center. He was recently named the Clinical Faculty of the Year. Harbor–UCLA Medical Center is a 570-bed public teaching hospital whose mission is “to put patients first and provide exceptional patient-centered care with the compassion and respect we would want for our loved ones, regardless of the ability to pay.”

Dr. Ng is board-certified in urology by the American Board of Urology (ABU). The mission of the ABU is to act for the benefit of the public by establishing and maintaining standards of certification for urologists, as well as to work with certified urologists to achieve lifelong learning to insure the delivery of high quality, safe, and ethical urologic care.

Dr. Ng was born and raised in Portland, Oregon. He traded rain for shine to attend the accelerated Biomedical Sciences Program at the University of California at Riverside. He earned his medical degree from UCLA School of Medicine in 1996, where he was awarded an American Federation of Aging Research Fellowship to study erectile dysfunction and earned the Dean’s Award for outstanding thesis. Dr. Ng then traded sun for snow during his urology residency training at the Cleveland Clinic Foundation. His extensive study of the immunology of kidney cancer was recognized with the First Place Award in Basic Science Research from the Ohio Urological Society. Upon graduation, he was honored with the George and Grace Crile Traveling Fellowship Award, in recognition of meritorious performance in the field of surgery.

Dr. Ng pursued subspecialty fellowship training in laparoscopy, robotic surgery, and endourology at the Cleveland Clinic. He then returned to Southern California to join the faculty at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in 2003, where he became the Director of Laparoscopic Urologic Oncology and Robotic Surgery, as well as Co-Director of Minimally Invasive Urologic Surgery Fellowship Program. Dr. Ng has served on numerous committees at Cedars-Sinai and was honored with the Chief of Staff Award and the Friend of Nursing Award in 2006. Dr. Ng has authored over 50 peer-reviewed scientific publications and book chapters.
