Dr. Kenneth Anderson went to medical school at the Philadelphia College of Osteopathic Medicine. Following graduation in 1984, he did an internship in Pinellas Park, FL. After serving 4 years as an Army physician, he moved to San Diego and completed a sports medicine fellowship at San Diego Sports Medicine & Family Health Center. He is board certified in family practice with a subspecialty in sports medicine. Dr. Anderson has provided primary care in Pacific Beach since 1989. He is currently the Medical Director for SeaWorld San Diego. He is also the team physician for the University of San Diego and Mission Bay High School, as well as the tournament physician for the BNP Paribas Open Tennis Tournament in Indian Wells and the La Costa Women's Professional tennis tournament. Dr. Anderson also serves on the faculty of several medical schools and provides training for medical students at our medical center. He has been the team physician for the San Diego Gulls, the Buick Open golf tournament, and various other sporting events such as the San Diego Rock and Roll Marathon. In addition, he was on staff at Camp Pendleton Naval Hospital in the Sports Medicine Clinic.
