Back in 1989, Dr. Livingston earned his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from the Boyne School of Dentistry at Creighton University in Omaha, Nebraska. He was awarded superior excellence in his clinical skills by the School’s periodontal department. 

As an advocate for continuing dental education and lifelong learning, he is an avid reader of current dental journals and attends pertinent dental seminars to maintain his cutting-edge dental expertise. He is a member of the American Dental Association and the Wyoming Dental Association, and an associate member of the College of Dentistry. 

Dentistry, also known as Dental and Oral Medicine, is a branch of medicine that consists of the study, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment of diseases, disorders, and conditions of the oral cavity. Dentists diagnose and treat dental issues and help patients develop better oral hygiene regimens. They clean teeth, correct bite issues, perform surgeries and extractions and perform other duties to ensure that the teeth and mouth are healthy. 

Among his philanthropic endeavors, Dr. Livingston has served as a Scoutmaster, Venture Leader, and Varsity Scout Coach at Boy Scouts of America. He has been involved with Dentistry from the Heart and Dental Life Line, offering dental services to those in need. He has also been involved with youth organizations, community service projects, adult organizations, as well as adult teaching and counseling services at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints. 

In his personal life, Dr. Livingston and his wife, Jeanelle, along with their children, have made Star Valley their home since graduating from dental school.
