Dr. Johnson is a competent, compassionate neurologist who practices at Ochsner Neurosciences Institute – Slidell in Louisiana. She also serves as Co-Director of the ALS Center at Ochsner & is affiliated with Ochsner Health Center – Covington.

Her clinical interests include neurological conditions of peripheral nerve and muscle, in addition to neuromuscular diagnostic testing such as EMG. 

Academically, Dr. Johnson earned her Doctor of Osteopathic Medicine degree from the Ohio University College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens, Ohio. Following graduation, she completed an internship in family medicine at Sparrow Hospital, a Michigan State University teaching hospital in East Lansing, Michigan. She then completed her residency in neurology at University Hospitals Case Medical Center in Cleveland, Ohio, and continued there to complete a fellowship in neuromuscular medicine and EMG.

Board-certified in neurology and electrodiagnostic medicine, Dr. Johnson is a Diplomate of the American Osteopathic Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology, and the American Board of Electrodiagnostic Medicine.

Continuously advancing her efforts, she is an active member of the American Osteopathic Association, the American Academy of Neurology, and the American Association of Neuromuscular & Electrodiagnostic Medicine.
