  • Could posture cause lower back pain in children?

Structure typically leads to function (or lack of function). So, if his posture is bad, usually it's bad due to a shifting of his segments in his spinal column. Which in turn leads to poor posture. You can definitely have him perform stretches and exercises to give him temporary relief, but once he stops doing those exercises, his posture will go back to where it has been. Best thing would be to invest into his health, especially him being only 10 years old, and to get him checked for NeuroStructural Abnormalities by a qualified chiropractor that performs a NeuroStrucutural Assessment with Full Spine X-rays. • Can I work out after a chiropractic adjustment?

It really depends on your condition, but for most of my patients I recommend going out for a 10 minute walk after their adjustments to help the body coordinate function between the nervous system and structure of the body. I usually recommend not working out until 2 hours after being adjusted to allow the body to adapt to the adjustments. READ MORE

  • Why do I have lower back pain?

More often, lower back is not necessarily caused by improper posture... If this was the case, there would be millions more people with lower back pain. Usually in my office, what I have found to cause lower back pain is due to a shifting of one or multiple segments of the spine that irritates a nerve leading to unwanted health conditions like back pain. A detailed NeuroStructural Analysis needs to be performed to determine what truly is the cause of your pain so this doesn't reoccur for the rest of your life. If you want to mask the symptom and get you temporary relief, you can focus on changing posture. READ MORE
