On the subject of her educational background, Dr. Berger earned her medical degree from the University of Texas Southwestern Medical Center in 1992. She then went on to perform her residency in pediatrics at Children’s Medical Center of Dallas. 

Following her training, she attained board certification in pediatrics through the American Board of Pediatrics (ABP). The mission of the ABP is to advance child health by certifying pediatricians who meet standards of excellence and are committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Dr. Berger is on the Board of The Family Place, which is an organization dedicated to ending family violence. In 2013, she established a medical clinic on the safe campus of The Family Place and continues as the Medical Director. She views being a doctor as a continuing conversation with her patients and looks forward to caring for them everyday.

In addition to being regularly interviewed on the nightly news, she teaches resident doctors in two departments; Family and Community Medicine & Pediatrics at UT Southwestern Medical Center.

Licensed to practice medicine in Texas, she is affiliated with Baylor Scott and White Medical Center–Frisco, Texas Health Center for Diagnostic and Surgery, Children’s Medical Center Dallas, Texas Health Presbyterian Hospital Plano, and Medical City Plano.
