Leading Expert in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine Brings Extensive Experience to Lexington, Kentucky

A prominent physiatrist, Dr. Sinn is the Division Chief of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine in the Department of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kentucky. In addition to her leadership role, she serves as the Director of Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Kentucky Children’s Hospital, where she is instrumental in advancing the quality of care for children with complex rehabilitation needs.

She brings a wealth of knowledge and expertise to her role, having completed her medical degree at the Ohio University Heritage College of Osteopathic Medicine in Athens. She further honed her skills during her residency in Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation at the University of Kansas Medical Center, followed by a specialized fellowship in Pediatric Rehabilitation Medicine at Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, Missouri.

As an Associate Professor of Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation, Dr. Sinn is dedicated to both clinical excellence and academic advancement. Her expertise encompasses a range of diagnoses, including neurotrauma, neuroimmunological disorders, neuromuscular disorders, traumatic brain injury, and spinal cord injury.

On a more personal note, she attributes her success to the invaluable mentorship she received throughout her training. “I’ve had great mentors along the way,” she remarked. “During my residency, I gained a mentor in pediatric rehabilitation medicine who later became my boss and partner in Dallas. His guidance was instrumental in shaping my career and leading me to where I am today.”
