Get to know Optometrists Dr. Candria Krywko and Dr. Beth Frankel and the luxury eye care services provided at Eyes on Hayden.

Established in 2019 and located in McCormick Ranch of Scottsdale, Arizona, Dr. Candria Krywko is the Founder, Owner, and Operator of Eyes on Hayden. Her associate, Dr. Beth Frankel, works closely alongside her to deliver luxe eye care in a fun and engaging way. They’ve created an entire “experience” with the way your eyes are cared for.

Recognized as friendly, professional, and highly detailed, the doctor duo is committed to providing exceptional eye care through comfort and communication. Patients are empowered with individualized treatment options while the doctors ensure that all questions are answered and that patients do not feel rushed.

Eyes on Hayden is particularly known for the emphasis the doctors put on thorough eye care. Services offered include but are not limited to comprehensive eye exams, vision exams, contact lens evaluations, and the management of cataracts, glaucoma, macular degeneration, red eye, and diabetic eye disease. They also offer an exclusive Dry Eye Med Spa for an individualized approach to the treatment of moderate-to-severe dry eye disease.

Where luxury meets eye care and eyewear; the experience does not end with the doctor. Dr. Krywko curated a bright and beautiful luxury optical boutique with exquisite brands you know and love, in addition to unique one-of-a-kind statement pieces you won’t easily find elsewhere. Complimentary eyewear style-sessions with an Optician are offered following each exam, and patients that already have a prescription from another doctor are also warmly welcomed for a complimentary eyewear style-session of their own.

Born and raised in Calgary Alberta, Dr. Krywko left the cold of Canada to complete a Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science at LaSierra University in Riverside, California in 2006. Following completion of her undergraduate degree, she obtained her Doctorate in Optometry from Marshall B. Ketchum University (formerly known as the Southern California College of Optometry) in Fullerton, California in 2010.

Prior to founding Eyes on Hayden in 2019, Dr. Krywko worked alongside a general ophthalmologist and cataract surgeon in Old Town Scottsdale, owned and operated Krywko (Meharry) Eye Care in North Scottsdale, and worked in private practice in both Las Vegas and New York City.

To stay current with the latest advances in eye health and vision care, Dr. Krywko is an active member of the Arizona Optometric Association and American Optometric Association. She also regularly attends local and national continuing education seminars to ensure that her patients receive the most modern and progressive vision care available.

Among her volunteer efforts in Scottsdale, Dr. Krywko provides presentations to students curious about or exploring Optometry, welcomes and mentors pre-optometry students to shadow her as an Optometrist, and offers internships and employment opportunities when possible. Dr. Krywko also travels to assisted living facilities to share her presentation of “The Aging Eye” to educate the elderly of the four leading causes of blindness and how to be proactive with these conditions. In early 2021, Dr. Krywko was featured on Local Fox News Channel 10 to discuss the impact of increased screen time on children’s eyes during COVID.

In her personal life, Dr. Krywko lives in Scottsdale with her husband Daryn, daughter Sloane, and their two crazy pugs; Benny and (the) Jetz. As a family, they enjoy camping, stand-up paddle boarding, road-trips, and cheering for the Arizona Cardinals (GO CARDS GO!).

Dr. Krywko’s associate, Dr. Beth Frankel, was born in Hackensack, New Jersey and moved to Arizona at the age of eleven. She received her bachelor’s degree in Physiology from the University of Arizona in 2006 and completed her Doctorate in Optometry from the Pennsylvania College of Optometry in 2010 with clinical honors.

Being a Type 1 diabetic since early childhood, Dr. Frankel also has a passion for helping diabetic patients with the prevention and management of diabetic eye disease.
