Get to know Family Practitioner, Dr. Patricia Lopez-Po, who currently serves patients in El Paso, Texas. 

Dr. Lopez-Po is a board-certified family practitioner as well as founder, owner, and primary care physician for Modern MD PLLC, a practice she established in April 2021 in El Paso, Texas. Moreover, she is affiliated with several local hospitals, including The Hospitals of Providence, Las Palmas Del Sol Healthcare, and Legent Hospital of El Paso in El Paso, Texas.

After completing her medical degree at the Universidad Autónoma de Ciudad Juarez in Mexico in 1986, Dr. Lopez-Po relocated to the United States, where she served a family medicine residency at the Texas Tech University Health Sciences Center at El Paso (1995-1998). The doctor is licensed to practice medicine in the state of Texas. 

Subsequent to her training, Dr. Lopez-Po received board certification in family medicine through the American Board of Family medicine (ABFM). The American Board of Family Medicine is a non-profit, independent medical association of American physicians who practice in family medicine and its sub-specialties.

Family medicine is a medical specialty within primary care that provides continuing and comprehensive health care for the individual and family across all ages, genders, diseases, and parts of the body. The specialist, who is usually a primary care physician, is named a family physician.
