($2,815,306)In this project (known also as the I-PASS Study), the PediatricResearch in Inpatient Settings (PRIS) Network, with the supportof the Initiative for Innovation in Pediatric Education, tested the effects on patient safety, care processes, and workflow of implementing a Resident Handoff Bundle (consisting of teamworktraining, verbal handoff strategies, and a written/computerized handoff tool) in nine major medical centers. After obtaining his Medical Degree he completed his General Pediatrics Residency with the St. Peters University Hospital. Furthering his training he then completed his Primary Care Faculty Development Fellowship with the St. Peters University Hospital. A pediatrician is a children’s physician who provides medical care to children who are acutely or chronically ill, as well as preventive health services to healthy children.
